January 16th 7pm Theology on Tap with Fr. Matlak at NoDa Brewery (directions). The topic being "2017: The Best You Spiritually" - when Fr. Matlak gives us some great resolutions for the best spiritual life in 2017.

Friday, December 16th 7pm :: Our Annual Christmas Party at the Rectory Our Christmas Party will once again be hosted by the Fathers at the Rectory! (9230 Sandburg Avenue). Bring a dish to share (ladies something warm, gents something cold) and a gift for a "White Elephant" exchange of a cost no more than $10 - the more unique the better!

Saturday, December 10th :: Missionaries of the Poor Service Day Let's meet and do some good in the community. We'll meet at 8am and carpool to the Missionaries of the Poor in Monroe to serve those who come for catechesis, a hot meal, and food for the week. We should return to STA by 1pm. Email Kathleen if you can join us!

Monday, November 14th :: Theology on Tap at NoDa Brewing Company (https://goo.gl/maps/i981a7RSKvH2). Fr. Winslow will be joining us to discuss the Final Secret of Fatima. Join us at this NEW, NEW LOCATION at 7pm. Grab a drink (on your way in and find us in the back room). You can bring a snack with you but be aware that they do not serve food, although sometimes they have food trucks. See you then and there!

Friday, September 9th :: Eucharistic Congress & Dessert Join us at the Eucharistic Congress for opening vespers, an address by the Bishop, and a Bible Study on Mercy from Fr. Kauth. We'll plan to grab a couple of rows of seats around 6:45pm so we have room for everyone. Join us whenever you get there. After, we'll walk up to Amelie's for dessert, a snack, and/or a drink. You can easily park in the Green, close to the Congress and to dessert after!

Sunday, August 21st :: Aquinas' Finest takes over High School Youth Group ... We're putting on an event for our youth ministry group as they conclude summer and kick off the next Confirmation year! Water Balloon Capture the Flag ... we'll meet in the afternoon to prepare the water balloons and prepare the field for an epic game of Capture the Flag!!

Saturday, August 13th :: Micro-Missions ... We are going to a local apartment complex to serve lunch and introduce ourselves to the local community. We need a solid confirmation of names of people who can be there to help and We'll need a group of at least 10-12 people from our parish to mingle with the crowd. We are thinking 11:30am - 1:30pm for the time slot and looking into pricing for a food truck rental - if anyone has any contacts! Email Gretchen to volunteer for the event!

Monday, July 25th :: Aquinas' Finest Goes to BINGO ... BINGO starts at 7pm sharp! Join us for an evening of great fellowship, games, concessions, and prizes made of MONEY!

Monday, July 18th :: Theology on Tap ... Join us at 7pm at Boardwalk Billy’s in the University Area with Deacon James to talk about Mercy and the prisioner. Deacon James works with our Diocesan Prison Ministry and is going to share how we can incorporate this Work of Mercy into our lives during this Year of Mercy.

Saturday, July 16th :: Gril Out with the Fathers ... Join us at 6:30pm for a outdoor grill out at St. Thomas Aquinas. We'll have games, burgers, dogs, & Priests! Please bring a dish and a beverage to share with the group (adult or otherwise). We'll end the evening with an old-fashioned bon-fire & S'mores!

Christian "Confession Exposed" ... misconceptions, how-to, basics, what the priest is thinking, the value of the penance and what we should expect, etc.. Join us at 7pm at Boardwalk Billy’s in the University Area with Father Barone for this heated discussion!

Saturday May 7th :: Hike King’s Mountain with Fr. Christian ... We'll meet at St. Thomas Aquinas around 8am and carpool to the mountain about 45 minutes away. If you're interested in going, send an email to aquinas.finest@gmail.com. We want to make sure we get enough drivers and don't forget anyone.

Monday April 25th :: BINGO for the Youth Join us at 7pm in Aquinas Hall for BINGO to support our High School Youth Group’s fundraiser. Bring your markers and your dollars and you might go home with a little cash!!

Thursday April 14th :: Finding the Holy Spirit with Fr. Kauth at 6:30pm  Join us in Aquinas Hall for an evening with Fr. Kauth talking about discernment of Spirits, Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Warfare, and how to find the Holy Spirit.

March 30th: Latin Mass & Yogurt for an AF Easter Celebration! Meet at 7pm Latin Mass and meet in the courtyard afterward to go down to TCBY for a sweet treat to Celebrate Easter!!

March 24th: Holy Thursday Mass & 7 Churches Visitation Pilgrimage: Mass of the Lord's Supper begins at 7pm in the Church followed by a procession to Aquinas Hall for our Altar of Repose. After spending a few minutes in prayer here we will gather outside of the hall to go as a group to visit six additional area Altars of Repose. St. Peter's, St. Patrick's, St. Ann's, St. Vincent de Paul's, St. Gabriel's, and St. John Neumann's before coming back to St. Thomas Aquinas to conclude our pilgrimage. At each parish, we plan to spend 5 to 10 minutes in prayer with Our Lord. 

Monday March 21st at 7pm: Theology on Tap - with Fr. Winslow at Boardwalk Billy's! Palm Sunday begins the stretched out, real time liturgy of Holy Week concluding with the season of the Triduum before Easter. Dive into Holy Week with good company and great discussion!

Tuesday March 8th at 7pm: Reflection and Prayer with Fr. Christian in the church. Fr. Christian is going to speak on the topic of Lent. Take some time for quiet prayer and reflection as we approach the halfway point of our Lenten observance.

Monday February 29th 7pm: Leap Year BINGO with Fr. Winslow! Fr. W is calling BINGO to celebrate this once every four years day. Join us for some old fashioned fun. Games start at 7pm sharp - concessions are available before and during the games. Try your luck and have some fun with our Pastor!

February 15th: Theology on Tap with Fr. Noah Carter! We'll see you at 7pm at Boardwalk Billy's! This month's topic? Is _______ against my religion? There are lots of things that are "okay" according to our Culture that aren't helping us lead holier lives ... come hear the church's stance on Reiki, Hookah, Psychics, Yoga, Tattoos and more!

February 13th: AF Mission Day with our High School Youth! Let's join our high school teens for some weekend mission work. Let us know if you're interested in going? We'll be leaving St. Thomas Aquinas at 9am and returning by 2pm. Email Us to volunteer! We'll be going down to the Missionaries of the Poor in Monroe, NC for the day!

January 9th in Winston Salem: Boldly Approach Retreat with the St. Leo Frassati Group in Winston-Salem.

Join fellow Catholic young adults for a day of inspiring talks, a men's and women's break out session, prayer, and worship. With a focus on God's mercy and how we can be merciful towards others and ourselves, this is a great way to start off the new year and participate in the Year of Mercy.

November 16th at 7pm: Theology on Tap at Boardwalk Billy's ... Fr. Barone is going to be with us to discuss "Why Latin is so awesome" and going to teach us some useful latin phrases!! Don't miss it! Everything comes from Latin (have a laugh)!

November 1st Mass, Maize, and Mazes!: Join us for Mass at 11:30am at St. Thomas (we'll sit in the center right side near the front if you want to sit together) and then head out to the Amazing Maize Maze in Huntersville (their website) for the final day of the season! Things have been pretty wet this year so they are recommending boots - IF it's raining this day, we will go to Mass and then hit up a local place for bunch together! Email Us so we know to look for you at Mass!

October 24th Maria Goretti & the Renaissance Festival: Join some Raleigh Young Adults for Mass at 10am at Saint Thomas and then head over to the Festival. RSVP through Facebook at this event.

September 21st Theology on Tap "The Good, the Bad, & the Grey" with Fr. Kauth at 7pm: Father Kauth is going to lead us in a discussion about moral principals and moral dilemmas. September 19th Apple Picking 9am: Join us for Apple Picking! We'll meet at STA at 9am and carpool to Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC (their website). The cost is $10 per person and includes a hay ride, a small peck of apples, and unlimited cidar! Email us if you're interested in joining so we don't forget anyone and let us know if you want to carpool from STA or meet at the Farm at 10am.

Eucharistic Congress 9/11/15: Meet at STA to carpool down to the Eucharistic Congress for the Friday night keynote speaker ... our very own, Father Winslow! If you want to carpool, email us and meet at STA at 6pm. If you work uptown and want to meet us there, we will see you at the Charlotte Convention Center inside the main doors closest to the Green parking at 6:30pm. More info on the Congress.

Multi-Parish Baseball Game 9/4/15: Join Catholic 20 and 30 somethings from around the area at the Charlotte Knights baseball game & fireworks show on Friday, September 4th at 7pm.  Tickets are just $8, but hurry...they're going fast! Meet us in the "Berm Standing Room Only Section" (aka the lawn behind the scoreboard).  Look for signs or call Katie at (704) 464-2188. Purchase tickets at their website call Ticket office # 704-274-8300, x1. Do NOT wait until the last minute, because this last game of the season will likely sell out.

Tom Savoy is taking us to the Symphony at Pops in the Park on Sunday, June 28th. Tickets cost $12 and can be purchased at the gate beginning at 5pm (or online here beforehand). Concert is at Symphony Park, 4400 Sharon Road (behind SouthPark Mall), Charlotte. Join us at STA at 4:15pm, we'll meet down by the Family Life Center, to drive together. Email Katie to join us. 

SUNDAY June 14th at 7pm: "Is it a Real Marriage? Two Men? Two Women? One Man & One Woman?" Theology on Tap at Flying Saucer (map) with Fr. Winslow... He's going to help us tackle the ever growing subject of Gay Marriage, what the Church teaches, how a Catholic responds, and more! June 10th: Latin Mass - Let's get go to Latin Mass together! Mass begins at 7pm. Find us to sit together on the choir side of the Church.

June 5th: Taste of Charlotte (link) Let's got to this event Uptown together! If you're up in the Unviersity let's meet at STA after work (at 6pm) and then go Uptown. If you're already Uptown or in South Charlotte, meet in front of St. Peter's outside of the Green Parking Garage at 6:45pm. Over 60 area restaurants present small bites of their best dishes. $20 buys you 15 tokens (enough for a trip around Charlotte with a full belly)! This event is CASH only. If you're interested in going, send an email to Katie so we know whether to look for you at STA or meet you outside of St. Peter's. We want to make sure we don't forget anyone!

May 30th: Hike Crowders with Fr. Christian ... We'll meet at St. Thomas Aquinas around 8am and carpool to the mountain about 45 minutes away. We can go to lunch at this place or this place afterward. If you're interested in going, send an email to Katie. May 28th: Outside Concert at University Shoppes (info) Let's meet outside by the Wine Vault at 7pm for some good music, good friends, and a drink.

May 18th: Theology on Tap with Fr. Noah Carter at Flying Saucer! Fr. Carter is planning to talk about "Where did the English Mass come from?" We've got the ENTIRE back room for our group so let's fill it up! We'll start at 7pm - come ready to order food, grab a drink, and get ready for a great discussion! (map - follow the signs for Cook Out in the midst of the construction on Tryon)

May 13th: Fatima & Frozen Yogurt: Latin Mass at 7pm, Procession Following, then to FruityCup Frozen Yogurt at the Boardwalk. We will sit together on the Choir Side of the Church for Mass, the Rosary, and Procession, and gather in the courtyard for anyone interested in frozen yogurt afterward.

May 10th: Ukranian Divine Liturgy ... Experience some of the best of the East as we join St. Basil's Mission for Divine Liturgy in the Church with their Bishop. Mass begins at 2pm and fulfills your Sunday Obligation. More about St. Basil's can be found here.

May 2nd: Orchestral Mass & Dinner at 2:30pm and dinner in University Area as a group. Join us for Mass. We will try to sit as a group on the left hand side by the Tabernacle.

April 25th: Procession for Life with Mass & Lunch: Joining the Charlotte Helpers for Mass at 10am, prayer at abortion clinic, lunch. (more info)

April 20th: Theology on Tap @ Flying Saucer (map) ... NEW PLACE! with Fr. Christian at 7pm potential topic :: "Easter Joy"

April 12th: Divine Mercy Holy Hour and Procession - come as a group at 3pm to the Church for this beautiful tradition.

Wednesday, March 25th: Latin Mass with Q&A - Mass at 7pm ... Young Adults from St. Peter's will be joining us for Mass & Discussion with Fr. Christian following Mass. If you've never attended a Mass in the Extraordinary Form or have and want to know more about what's happening, this is a great opportunity to have those questions answered!  

Monday, March 16th: Theology on Tap @ Don Pedro (1009 Chancellor Park Drive map). Join us for authentic Mexican food, drinks, and discussion on G.K. Chesterton and the Catholic faith led by Fr. Winslow. We have partnered with the Diocese of Charlotte to bring Theology on Tap to the University Area.

March 7th: March Madness / Battle Royale 7pm - We've got Corn Hole, Ladder Golf, HORSE, and other great games for some good team competition. We'll plan to meet outside by the gym, or in the gym in case of rain/cold.

All are asked to bring a dish to share and come ready for a fierce competition!  Drinks will be provided by the Fathers. We hope you can join us! Share this event with anyone around the area who you think will be interested in having some fun this Saturday night.
