Religious Education Registration 2016-17

This fall 2016, we will maximize the use of the facilities in the new Parish Center and Aquinas Hall to accomodate the Religious Education classes.  We will do everything possible to have students enrolled in their first choice of sessions on a first come, first serve basis.  We provide all necessary materials for classes.  However, we are in need of more catechists and assistants to facilitate our Religious Education program.  If you are able to help in one of these areas, please check the appropriate box in the form below.  Thank you!


Grade 1-5 - Sun., 8:15-9:15 a.m. or 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Grade 1-5 - Wed., 4:30-5:30 p.m. or 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Grade 6 - Wed., 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Grade 6 - Sun., 8:15-9:15 a.m. or 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Grades 7&8 - Wed., 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Grades 7&8 - Sun., 8:15-9:15 a.m.. or 11:15 a.m. -12:15 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Grade 9 - Confirmation - Sun., 6:15-8:00 p.m.(Abbreviated Fall Schedule will be sent in August)

R.C.I.A. Children & Teens (Non-Baptized) - Sun., 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

RE Independent Study (Grades 1, 3-7) - Online Program to be done at home.

Tuition* (see deadlines below)

$30/student - Additional Sacramental Fee for 2nd Grade and RCIA Year 2 students
$30/student Grade 9 Retreat/Confirmation
$40/student - RE Independent Study
$30/student - Catholic School/Homeschool (Families only need to register during Sacramental years 2nd and 9th)

Pay Online for Religious Education, or by check (payable to: St. Thomas Aquinas). This may be dropped in the Sunday collection in an envelope marked Religious Education, or mailed to us at:

If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact the Religious Education office.

*Before Deadline One (May 31st-Deadline One has now passed). After this, tuition raises to $60/student.  After Deadline Two (July 31st - Deadline Two has now passed), tuition raises to $90/student.




Ministry Assistance

Religious Education is an ongoing process involving the entire family. We are always in need of assistance. Please indicate the areas in which you may be able to assist in this ministry. We will be sure to use your talents at the same day and time as your child/children.

  • Full Time Catechist (Full time catechists do not pay tuition)
  • Assistant Catechist (Full time Parent help in the small groups do not pay tuition)
  • Substitute Catechist
  • Hall Monitor (During sessions - full time monitors do not pay tuition)
  • Baby sit for Catechists (During sessions - Full time sitters do not pay tuition)
  • Liturgy of the Word for Children, Presenter
  • Baby sit during meetings
  • Hospitality Committee (Set up, serve, cleanup at receptions following First Holy Communion, First Confession, Confirmation or liturgies)
  • Bake cookies for receptions & meetings
