Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) is a fun-spirited group of young adults seeking to continue their faith journey in the college environment.

Holy Mass is held on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, just a few blocks from campus.

CCM also meets each Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Campus Ministry Center right off the courtyard at St. Thomas Aquinas. There is a dedicated space with a lounge, kitchen, restrooms, and outdoor area.

CCM Week is held at the beginning of each semester with events such as Mass, Rosary, field days, Top Golf, bowling, movie nights, and escape rooms each day of the week for new and returning members to ease into the semester through engaging activities with this faith-based organization.

Throughout the semester, Wednesday Night Dinners highlight a meal with interactive speakers and events to promote the Catholic faith and a greater intimacy with God. Rotating through spiritual, social, and service weeks, CCM provides a range of experiences for its members to socialize with friends, serve, and learn in this faith-centered environment.

  • On spiritual nights, speakers give talks and answer questions pertaining to the year’s theme, Liturgy and the Sacraments. Other activities include Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary nights, and Praise and Worship.
  • Social events allow for lively evenings with bonfires, games, dances, and more!
  • Service nights bring the group together in giving themselves and their time both in the Charlotte and St. Thomas Aquinas communities supporting pro-life and homeless ministries.

CCM also participates in events hosted by the Diocese of Charlotte such as the annual Eucharistic Congress and diocesan-wide retreats for college students. We are also active with the Knights of Columbus, assisting them with fundraisers and events.

Welcome from Fr. Innocent

I welcome back all students, returning and freshmen, to another academic year. Hopefully, you had a great summer and enough rest to carry on with the hectic academic schedules and load. I remind everyone the fact that the knowledge of God is the beginning of all wisdom and the crowning success of all our endeavors.

CCM activities begin immediately with the start of classes. This year’s theme and our mission is “Liturgy and Sacraments.” It is about prayer and spiritual life lived in communion with God.

We meet every Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. with alternate events ranging from spiritual, social, and educational, to community service opportunities.

The CCM Center is located on the grounds of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, at 1400 Suther Road, Charlotte, NC 28213. We will also have events on campus and off campus.

Holy Mass is offered every Sunday at 5 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas.  Students who wish can take up any of the liturgical ministries at Mass such as the Ushers, Altar Servers, and Lectors.

Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. dinner  is provided at the CCM Center by some loving families from St. Thomas Aquinas and Our Lady of Assumption parishes. You don’t want to miss these opportunities and great Christian community.

Once again, welcome to another busy academic and spiritual experience. God bless and keep you safe and sound always.

Fr. Innocent, Campus Minister
