Prayer Shawl

St. Thomas Aquinas’s Prayer Shawl Ministry invites all those with knitting and crocheting abilities to join us every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 2:00—3:30 p.m. in Aquinas Hall to craft lap shawls, blankets, and other items. These items are made with special prayer intentions and are given to family members in our parish and community. The demand for these items are extensive, so more crafters are need. For more information, contact Jane Hanna at 704-992-0587.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of women who meet regularly to pray together as they knit prayer/healing shawls. These shawls, lap shawls and baby blankets are for those who are experiencing a life transition, to comfort them through their pain and suffering. These shawls are a sign of God's healing presence, whether in life or death.

All are invited to join us at our regular monthly meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.  Meetings are held in Aquinas Hall from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

Our regular shawls consist of 3 skeins of yarn using size 13 needles and simple knit stitch.  If you do not know how to knit, one of the many ladies in the ministry would love to teach you!
